" I do not know where to go ” echoes in the emptiness of the village after the displacement of 30th March 2007.

Uvero Alto disappeared of the map as a village and appeared on the tourist map with its luxury resorts.

This ongoing documentary and archive project tells the story of a family displaced and scattered locally by property developers in the East Coast of theDominican Republic.

The second part of this project is currently looking at how this displacement has affected the families both negatively and positively but also trying to understand the impact that the tourism industry has on the Dominican economy.I am currently researching some examples of sustainable tourism initiatives.

UVERO ALTO ARCHIVE PART II: 2007-2015
